This is who picks up the phone, who does the work, and who’s been here long enough to know the courts. Come meet everyone.

The officeHow the office works

The whole process first, then the first step.

That’s the whole method. It’s the same for a will, a probate, or a dispute over a deed, and the same whether the property is in Reno or on the California side of the line. Jenny’s word for it is communication. Her other one is compassion.

Both sides of a landlord–tenant matter are welcome, and so are both sides of a dispute, though never both at once.

Jenny McMenomy, founding attorney

Founding Attorney · owner

Jenny McMenomy, Esq.

Born and raised in Northern Nevada. Galena High School, the University of Nevada, Reno, then law school in California, the bar on both sides of the state line, and home to practice in 2018. Her goal, in her words: to be approachable to the average person, and not be scary.

Jenny had significant experience working in other firms before she decided to start her own practice. Before opening the firm she worked several sessions at the Nevada State Legislature, including as Executive Assistant and Policy Analyst to the Speaker of the Assembly, and in government and regulatory affairs for an energy company in San Francisco. She’s admitted in Nevada and California, and California matters are handled from the Reno office.

She practices estate planning, probate, and real estate, including landlord–tenant work, for tenants as well as landlords. Her measure of a good first meeting is that people leave it comfortable about what happens next.

Jenny was the most knowledgeable, kindest and considerate attorney we’ve ever worked with. She’s no shrinking violet, either. She knows her field and does not tolerate nonsense. I highly recommend her.
